- You may be eligible for more food stamps. Let’s be honest: the amount you’re awarded in food stamps is never enough to actually buy the food you need for any given month. Fortunately, we can help! We’ve figured out how food stamps awards are calculated and what you can do to increase the amount you receive each month.
- You can get cash back (it’s legal)! With smart shopping techniques, you can put cash back in your pocket when you shop with EBT. Here’s how.
- You can shop at many places. Some retailers, such as Farmer’s Markets, often offer double-up programs where you can get twice as much food as you pay for. Bulk retailers like Costco also accept food stamps. Here’s a list of places that accept EBT.
- You can use your EBT card in other states! Not only can you shop in other states, you can also get EBT discounts in other states. All of our state lists use green titles to indicate what venues accept out-of-state EBT cards for discounts.

Get admission discounts!
You can use out-of-state EBT cards in some cases. All of the Museums for All partners have green titles, so you can easily identify which museums accept cards from all 50 states! Check our other state lists to see what your Idaho EBT card can do!
You cannot pay admission with the EBT card. It is important to remember that you cannot pay for admission with your EBT card. You will show the card to receive the discount but you will need to pay the remaining admission price, if any, in cash or with a credit/debit card.

Blackfoot
Idaho Potato Museum – $3 or less
Although it’s not just for Idaho food stamps recipients, the Idaho Potato Museum in Blackfoot has a very reasonable admission price. Adults are $3, children between 6 and 12 years of age are $1 and children 5 and under are free. Seniors, military and AAA members are just $2.50 per adult.
Boise
Discovery Center of Idaho – $3 per person
The Discovery Center of Idaho provides a discount to families with EBT cards! Up to four guests can visit for just $3 each with an Idaho food stamps card.
Idaho State Museum – $3 per person
The all-new Idaho State Museum features an additional 18,000 square feet and a complete renovation of the original 1950 building. Standard admission is $10 per adult and $5 per child, but you can visit for just $3 per person with your Idaho EBT card!
Old Idaho Penitentiary – $3 per person or less
The Old Idaho Penitentiary was in operation for 101 years. Now you can experience a visit to Solitary Confinement, cell blocks, and the Gallows, with thirty historic buildings and special exhibits including daring escapes and a collection of historic weaponry.
Couer d’Alene
Museum of North Idaho – $3 per person or less
The Museum of North Idaho is located in Couer d’Alene’s City Park. This museum preserves the history of North Idaho and is open seasonally from April 1 through October 30th. As a Museums for All member, this museum offers a discounted rate of $3 per person, up to four people per EBT card.
Meridian
Children’s Museum of Idaho – $3 per person or less
The Children’s Museum of Idaho offers an EBT discount for anyone with a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) EBT card. As a Museums for All partner, they may also offer a discount to WIC participants.
